Terms and Conditions
By booking at Studio TEN12 (“our”, “us”), the hirer (“you”, “your”) agrees to the terms and conditions outlined below.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
By booking through our online booking system, you are ultimately responsible for the payment of the hire fees set out in the booking system and any subsequent invoices relating to the booking.
All bookings need to be paid in full through Studio TEN12’s online booking system. You will receive an email confirming your booking once it has been added to our calendar.
Any subsequent invoices due to fees incurred outside of the hire fee (cleaning fee, repainting fee, extra hours, replacement costs, etc.) will be sent after the booking.
A grace period of 20 minutes is allowed prior to the commencement of your booking.
USE OF PREMISES/STUDIO
The space/facilities/equipment available for use are limited to the following:
- General studio space (The Cyclorama, Set, Paper Wall, Glam Area), toilet and shower, kitchenette (including appliances/kitchenware), power points, extension cords, power boards, WiFi.
- Pieces of furniture can be moved around and used as needed (couch, mirrors, clothes rack, tables, stools, step ladder, etc) but must be placed back in their original layout before leaving the studio.
- Equipment for Dry Hires are limited to six RGB LED panels for the Cyclorama, C-stands w/ boom arm [x7], Backdrop stand, various light stands, and shotbags
- Equipment for Full Hires includes everything included in Dry Hires plus access to all paper backdrops and all studio equipment on the shelves and rack in front of the Paper Wall and beside the Set.
With the exception of any of our equipment, you must ensure that any equipment/props/furniture you bring to the studio are safe to use.
The use of the orange ladder is not allowed unless approved and in the presence of someone from Studio TEN12.
Studio TEN12 has a maximum capacity of 20 people per shoot including assistants, make-up and hair artists, and talents.
An assistant to help you set up or for your whole shoot is available and is charged at $75 per hour.
Any setup outside of the grace period and your booking time is allowed, subject to availability. This will incur a fee of $100 / hour.
Hirer must respect the quiet enjoyment of the neighbourhood within which the studio is located including local residents and neighbouring businesses.
You are responsible for the acts and omissions of your team, talents and guests while they are on the studio and will ensure that they comply with these terms.
USE OF THE CYCLORAMA
Shoes are not allowed on the Cyclorama unless needed for the photo/video or for health and safety reasons.
No equipment/prop/furniture/person must be placed on the curved edges of the Cyclorama.
You can request for the floor of the Cyclorama to be repainted at least 72 hours before the commencement of your booking.
We reserve the right to charge a repaint fee of $150 if you leave any permanent marks or damage the paint on the Cyclorama.
Any damages outside of repainting, intentional or not, on the Cyclorama will incur a fee dependent on the severity of the damage and any potential loss work due to the damages.
CLEANING
You are responsible for the cleanliness and care of the studio space and included equipment throughout the entire duration of your booking. This includes the 20 minute grace period.
Studio hire includes a standard clean (up to one hour carried out by our team).
A cleaning fee of $100 (minimum) will incur if the studio and all the spaces available to you are not left in the same conditions as they were prior to the booking (as determined by us in our sole discretion). Leaving behind foreign substances such as makeup spills, food, glitter, confetti, or mud may incur additional fees.
You are given one 60L bin liner for all the rubbish from the shoot. Any excess rubbish must be taken by you before leaving the studio. Any rubbish removal will incur a fee of $50 (minimum).
DAMAGES
You are responsible to inform anyone from Studio TEN12 if an equipment/furniture/prop was damaged/broken before your intended use.
You will be charged the replacement cost of any equipment/furniture/props damaged or broken during your booking time. Replacement cost is determined by current pricing of the damaged/broken item from a reputable Australian retailer.
RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
Rescheduling your booking needs to be approved by Studio TEN12 and agreed upon in writing, subject to availability.
Cancellation of a confirmed booking more than 72 hours from the booking date will result in a refund of 75% of any payments made for the booking.
Cancellation of a confirmed booking less than 72 hours from the booking date will result in the forfeit of all payments made for the booking prior to the cancellation.
Hirer is responsible to confirm the adequacy of the space/facilities/equipment offered by Studio TEN12 for their intended use. Any cancellations due to inadequate space/facilities/equipment will be subject to the cancellation terms outlined above.
INDEMNITY & LIABILITY
Hirer must maintain a policy of public liability insurance for its use of the studio with coverage of at least $5 million per event and supply Studio TEN12 with a copy if requested either before or after the booking date.
Studio TEN12 does not accept responsibility and/or liability for the loss or damage of personal belongings and equipment held on-premises by the hirer and those associated with them. Furthermore, Studio TEN12 is not responsible and/or liable for any fees/damages incurred due to legal infractions made by the hirer and those associated with them during the booking time.
Hirer agrees to hold harmless Studio TEN12, its owner, agents, representatives, and contractors acting on its behalf for any loss, accident, or injury to Hirer’s self or anyone who accompanies Hirer while on our premises.
Hirer agrees to hold Studio TEN12, its agents, representatives, and anyone acting on behalf of Hirer completely harmless from any action, legal or otherwise, that results from Hirer’s conduct. Hirers are solely responsible for verifying that all activities are unrelated to the business of Studio TEN12.
The Hirer agrees to indemnify Studio TEN12 against any costs including legal costs, damages, payments, fines, or interests Studio TEN12 may incur as a result of the Hirer breaching this agreement.
Studio TEN12 is not liable for acts out of its control that affect the booking, such as power outages, weather or emergencies. In such cases, Studio TEN12 may refund a pro rata portion of Hirer’s payment and/or reschedule the studio booking.
Studio TEN12 reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time with or without notice if the Hirer has breached any terms of this agreement or for unforeseeable circumstances that prevent Hirer from fulfilling the agreement.
